Straight from London to Lake Zurich: on 28 October 2026, Carl & Strups surprised their young co-author Luise and Dani at the exhibition stand. An unforgettable first meeting with lots of lovely photos and a film – and the start of a whole new adventure!
A special day for our children’s book series ‘Carl & Strups’!
On 28 October 2026, Carl and his faithful companion Strups came to life for the very first time. After their journey from London, their very first visit took them to Rüschlikon on Lake Zurich.
There they met their young co-author Luise and Dani, who had already been helping out at our stand at the book fair.
What had previously only been seen on the lovingly illustrated pages of the book was now suddenly standing before them in life-size form!
This special meeting produced some wonderful souvenir photos and a film capturing this milestone.
For Carl & Strups, this marks the start of a new chapter: from now on, they’ll be appearing in person at book fairs, readings, schools, libraries and events.
Book characters are becoming real-life encounters. And the adventure has only just begun!
